ABOUT
MINAMI

We continue to provide thoughtful products, one by one.
The Japanese textile industry has changed
its course from an era in which mass production sold well.
We have entered an era in which products with
unique value can be sold.
While originality and added value are required in
product development,
our specialty lies in the joy of disseminating the technology
we have cultivated over many years, throughout the world.

Minami's fabric making starts with original yarn developing,
and we carefully select machines that make yarn into fabric.
We also develop dyeing and finishing processing methods.
We approach manufacturing from various directions,
such as fabrics that are full of freshness and imagination,
fabrics that will be appreciated for a long time and
reproductions of old fabrics.

Many processes involved in fabric making require
technical cooperation of various people.
Fabric is completed thanks to the careful efforts of those people.
As the number of Japanese textile products decreases,
we believe it is our mission to continue providing fabrics and
products that are loved in Japan and around the world.

CORPORATE PHILOSOPHY GO OVER THE WALLIN FRONT OF US

Even if there is a difference in the country you live,
the environment you grew up in, or the color of your skin,
you can wear fabric and make everyone happy.
Our mission is to transcend borders and
ethnic barriers through fashion.
You will face many obstacles as you move forward.
But we strive every day to have fun,
overcome the obstacles we face,
and act as a source of joy, centered on fashion.

STORY

In 1935, Minami started selling greige fabrics. After that, we started handling dyeing and printing, and gradually expanded our range as a trading company specializing in cut and sewn fabrics. Every year, we also exhibit at Premiere Vision, an international trade fair for fabrics held in Paris, France, and are expanding our sales channels both domestically and internationally.
